Jen Winsor, Executive Director
With a background in Journalism and Communications, Jen has been working in the Newfoundland and Labrador arts scene for almost 10 years. Jen spent much of this time working with the Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador as their Communications and Program Officer while acting as the Regional Educations Coordinator for the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings and was honoured to receive the 2015 Denis Parker Music Industry Builder Award. She spent the past year travelling with Royal Caribbean Cruise lines working in their Arts and Entertainment Division and currently has taken on the role of Executive Director of the Writers’ Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador. She is very excited about this new opportunity and happy to be back working in the arts in her home province.
Samantha Fitzpatrick, Member Services Coordinator
Samantha Fitzpatrick is an administrative professional with a passion for communications and event-planning. In 2015, she completed her BA in English at Grenfell Campus and, in 2017, she received her Office Administration Certificate from College of the North Atlantic. She is an avid volunteer and has been heavily involved in non-profit and arts work for the past six years. Previously, she has served as Director of Communications for Raise Up Fundraising NL, Social Media Assistant for The Island Review, and has co-edited/published issues of Paper Mill Press and the 4 O’Clock Whistle. Her poetry has been published nation-wide in magazines, journals, and anthologies.
Callum Latta, Outreach Coordinator/Summer Student
Callum Latta is a fourth-year student at MUN where he is completing an honours degree in English with a minor in Philosophy. This fall he’ll be writing his honours thesis on pre-war blues music, specifically focusing on Robert Johnson and his influences. When he’s not studying or reading, he plays guitar. He has a passion for music, especially the blues. Callum currently performs around town with singer Dave Mundy, playing a mix of originals and covers. After his BA, he plans on pursuing an MA in Ethnomusicology, where he’s hoping to study film scores or folk music.
