Her work was exemplary and always entertaining and informative to read. "In like Flint" [Denise's monthly column], a humorous look at rural life from a city dweller's perspective was especially enjoyable and shall be missed by our many readers."July 2003, Kim MacAulay, Publisher, The Clipper Weekly, Beausejour, MB "Denise Flint has been a weekly correspondent for The Carillon for the past year for the communities of Oakbank and Anola. In this capacity, she has covered a wide variety of events, both as reporter and photographer...she has also written a number of features highlighting the accomplishments of people in the region. It is my pleasure to state without reservation that she has done an admirable job for our newspaper. It is our loss that she and her family are leaving the region. I would not hesitate for a moment to give her the highest recommendation for any future endeavours." June 2003, Peter Dyck, Editor, The Carillon,, Steinbach, MB |
