Writers' Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador launches special literary journal

St John's, NL: The Writers' Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador is proud to announce the official launch of a special literary journal in this, its 20th year as an organization.

Riddle Fence, a journal of essays, poetry, fiction, and artwork edited by award-winning writer Mark Callanan, will be launched at The Ship Pub, Solomon's Lane, St. John's, NL, on December 3, 2007, at 8pm.

"We're very excited about the launch," Callanan said. "This journal is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the writing of Newfoundland and Labrador. It will stand as testament to the vitality and originality of our writers as they help us re-imagine our province, our culture, and the wider world."

The celebration will include music by Duane Andrews, readings by Michael Crummey, Susan Rendell, and Patrick Warner, and finger foods.

The launch is free and open to the general public. Copies of Riddle Fence will be available for sale at $10 each.
