Andreae Callanan

Andreae Callanan is the recipient of the prestigious Vanier and Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation scholarships for her research on contemporary poetry and public engagement.

Andreae’s poetry and criticism have garnered numerous awards including the Canadian Notes and Queries CanLitCrit Contest, the CV2 2-Day Poetry Contest, Memorial University’s Gregory J. Power Poetry Prize, the Lawrence Jackson Writers’ Award, and McGill University’s Lionel Shapiro Award.

She is a doctoral student at Memorial, where she teaches creative writing.

A chapbook, Crown, is forthcoming from Anstruther Press fall 2019, and a full-length poetry collection, The Debt, will be published fall 2020.
