For this contest, we’re asking WANL Members (ages 30 and under), to write a comedic story (up to 750 words), using FIVE out of SEVEN words from the following list:

All kinds of comedy – horror, romance, dark comedy, tragicomedy, farce, deadpan, observational, etc. – are welcome.

Writers of the top five selected submissions will take home the coveted first, second, third place + runners-up titles (and the accompanying financial prizes), and we’ll show your work off at Unscripted in Twillingate, running from September 15-18, 2022!
Winning works will be turned into a poster to be displayed at the festival’s Art Gallery, and will later be shipped directly to the winners, ready to frame/hang in your home.
